You will pick up your Open Water Book at least one week prior to the class start date, this allows you time to read through the material and fill out the Knowledge review questions at the end of each of the five chapters.
Purchase your mask, fins. booties and snorkel, preferably from Scuba Magic to insure they properly and are suitable for SCUBA, prior to the Friday evening class.
Friday: Lecture, review of Knowledge review questions and quiz for chapter one through three. You will also have your first experience assembling your diving "rig" and learn how all the parts function. This session runs from 6-9PM
Saturday Morning: Lecture, review of Knowledge review questions and quizzes for chapters four and five. Final exam with time permitting. We recommend a light lunch as the swim and float will be done when we first get to the pool. 8AM-Noon.
Saturday Afternoon: Completion of confined water dives one and two along with half of three. This session runs from 1PM to 5PM
Sunday Morning: Completion of confined water dives three, four and five. This session runs from 8am to 5PM
Sunday Afternoon: Completion of final exam and any quizzes that need to be retaken

Private Instruction covers the same material as listed in the traditional class schedule only tailored to your schedule.

Scuba Magic offers Options in how you take your Open water certification training. Everyone will go through the initial Classroom training with a PADI power point presentation to review what you have read in you Open water manual. The manual you use depends on the choice you have made in how you track your Nitrogen.
PADI- Those who want to learn the Dive tables, or don't want to rent a Dive Computer every time you go diving, will learn the RDP. This is included in the cost of your program.
SDI- Those who want don't want to learn the Dive tables, and don't mind renting a Dive Computer every time you go diving, will learn to use one of our rental Dive computers. This is not included in the cost of your program and will be an additional $15 per day, the 2 OW dive days will be charged at the time of registration.( You can buy your own Computer at a 15% discount while enrolled in this class)
HSA- We will determine what works best and the ADSDF will pick up any extra fees
